Greg Thomas Elected to RESNET Board of Directors

Greg Thomas, President and CEO of Performance Systems Development, was elected to the RESNET (Residential Energy Services Network) Board of Directors in the December 2009 membership ballot. Mr. Thomas will serve a two-year term as a rating provider representative, providing leadership and perspective for quality standards in residential home energy ratings. The members’ decision demonstrates confidence in Thomas’s leadership and experience in the energy efficiency industry.

RESNET is an industry not-for-profit membership corporation focused on creating national standards for building energy efficiency rating systems. Steve Baden, RESNET Executive Director, congratulated Thomas, saying, “The building performance industry will see dramatic changes in the next two years and RESNET will be presented with a number of challenges and opportunities. I look forward to working with you and the other members of the board in meeting the upcoming challenges and taking advantage of the opportunities.”

RESNET standards help to measure and identify the energy efficiency of new buildings. They are recognized by the federal government for verification of building energy performance for federal tax credit qualification, EPA ENERGY STAR labeled homes, and the U.S. Department of Energy Building America program.
