Position Description

Develop, support and expand PSD’s programs in Pennsylvania, with a focus on coordination of a utility program for energy-efficient new homes. Under the supervision of the Director of Programs, manage tasks, budget, and staff to achieve program goals. Prepare monthly reports documenting program accomplishments. Network with contractors, builders, developers and property managers to advance the goals of the program. Develop relationships between trade allies, consumers, contractors, builders, utilities, legislators, and code officials, as well as all program team members. The Program Coordinator will deliver a wide variety of support and technical services including but not limited to: program training for builders, code officials, and consumers. Coordinate outreach efforts while tracking energy savings and progress toward program goals. This position is based in Western Pennsylvania and requires frequent regional travel with occasional overnight travel. Preference given to candidates with ability to spend at least two days each week working in PSD’s Meadville, PA office.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of industry related experience. Demonstrated success in coordinating projects involving multiple staff and partners. Must be detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and assignments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Excellent computer skills including: MS Office, spreadsheets, and databases. Previous experience using building diagnostic tools and knowledge of the basic physics underlying building science and energy efficiency calculations. Individuals with a building science background, including energy efficiency certifications (RESNET, BPI), green building certifications (NAHB, LEED), and/or related areas preferred. RESNET and BPI certifications will be required after employment. Prior experience delivering training or classroom instruction or similar experience an advantage. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team setting. Ability to maintain relationships with PSD staff and program partners in remote locations. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
