Performance System Development’s staff includes engineers, architects, building scientists and software developers. PSD’s subsidiary company, Performance Systems Contracting (PSC), provides residential and small commercial building performance diagnosis, installation, and energy rater services in the Central and Southern Tier areas of New York State. Performance System's field staff has a wide range of technical certifications and field expertise. The combined staffing of the two companies includes over thirty professionals.
Green Communities
PSD provides the Cost Comparison Analysis that determines the energy and water savings benefits from meeting the Green Communities criteria. The analysis compares the costs of the proposed Green Communities 
developments to similar local non-green developments. This comparison uses whole building energy simulation and water usage to show the savings between the proposed Green Communities developments and those same developments when built to local construction code.
Benchmarking
PSD developed the Benchmarking Tool, which is an interactive energy management tool that allows for the tracking and assessment of energy consumption in buildings of any size, or across an entire portfolio of buildings. It is currently being used to “benchmark” sixty-one million square feet of commercial space in New York City for energy performance - to assess energy management goals over time, and identify strategic opportunities for energy savings.
PA Home Energy
Implementation of the PA Home Energy Program offering participating contractors and consultants access to the ENERGY STAR brand for marketing and building labeling. The new homes market will be served using the ENERGY STAR Qualified New Homes program and the existing homes market will be served using the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program.
Maine Home Performance
Administration of Maine’s Whole House Energy Efficiency Program. As the Program Implementation Administrator, PSD has developed and implemented this residential energy retrofit program for Maine. MaineHomePerformance.com

Online program management databases linking client side building modeling software to server side program management, reporting and fuel use data.
Washington Low Income Weatherization Program

OTTER (Online Tracking Tool for Energy Retrofits)
PSD developed OTTER software for program management support and web tracking system development to be used in the implementation of low income programs. (New Hampshire and NYSERDA Regional AHP/WNI implementer)
Maryland Home Performance Training and Software
The Maryland Home Performance Program used PSD for delivery of their training, and they use TREAT software to capture actual energy savings as a result of programmatic activities.
CoolSmart
PSD did field data collection and analysis for Cool Smart Program throughout Massachusetts, and then analyzed the data to determine residential air conditioning and heat pumps are properly sized / charged. Monitoring devices were placed and whole-house audits performed on a percentage of the properties. Software models were then created to determine calculated load and the performing size-based on site inspections. (National Grid. NSTAR Electric. Unitil)
FlexTech Audits and Software Model Analysis
Energy analysis and field monitoring of commercial and multifamily buildings (FlexTech Contractor, New York Energy Research and Development Authority). Performance Systems Development Inc. performed FlexTech audits throughout the state to analyze buildings for improvements based upon return on investment as well as health and safety.
New York States Energy $mart Multifamily Performance Program (MPP)
