Commercial Energy Audits
PSD is a qualified NYSERDA Flextech contractor under a contract in partnership with Taitem Engineering. PSD’s commercial energy audit services have been featured in national case studies (the Telergy Building) developed for the US EPA by the Institute for Market Transformation on the impacts of energy audits on building valuation.
Software
Building Performance Compass
PSD developed Compass for benchmarking energy use in larger buildings. Compass is an interactive energy management tool that allows for the tracking and assessment of energy consumption and carbon emissions in buildings of any size, or across an entire portfolio of buildings. It is being used to "benchmark" sixty-one million square feet of commercial space in New York City for energy performance - to assess energy management goals over time, and identify strategic opportunities for energy savings and carbon mitigation. It is a useful tool for colleges and universities, municipalities, utilities, building portfolio managers, regional climate change groups, and others.
