Key information is shown in each stakeholder’s distinct view so they can complete their work in sequence and advance each job smoothly through the program. Program administrators maintain a master view of all activity enabling them to monitor the progress of each job in queue, identify bottlenecks, intervene as appropriate, and authorize incentive awards for qualified jobs. No other system ties this complicated process together as seamlessly so that you can focus on managing your home energy efficiency program, not tracking down information.
Simple and Powerful Program Reporting Back to top
An effective tool for tracking and reporting building performance program metrics is key to measuring success and identifying issues. The Compass Suite meets this need with a dual approach that delivers both efficiency and power. The CRM component of the Compass Suite is an application built on the Salesforce™ CRM platform and leverages its powerful reporting and charting capabilities to give you immediate program insights. Interactive reports and charts featuring the data most important to you can be created and integrated into informative on-screen dashboards. Specifics for any service provider or job can be easily viewed, compiled, reported, and charted. Quickly identify those providers most active, as well as those that need encouragement or coaching. The program administrator’s view through Green Energy Compass provides quick access to job specific data and energy reports to support quality assurance inspection and job level support.
Powerful Energy Tracking and Modeling Tools Back to top
At the core of Green Energy Compass are energy assessment and savings forecasts based on market tested technology – the same technology used in TREAT, our award winning DOE-approved energy modeling software. Given very basic home and utility bill information, Compass analyzes the data using local weather logs to provide the homeowner with an accurate picture of how their home consumes energy. It then compares the home’s energy use to similar homes in the area. Best of all, Compass forecasts the savings made possible by investing in the upgrades proposed by a chosen contractor. All are key elements in converting homeowners into program participants.
Verified Energy Savings Back to top
Validating home energy savings is imperative to the sustainability of your program. This is built into the Green Energy Compass Suite as a high priority. The true-up features in Compass and Surveyor enable your qualified service providers an effective means of calibrating the energy model for each building to past energy bills. This unique calibration process is critical to ensuring that projected home energy savings are accurate.
Efficient Public Website Creation and Maintenance Back to top
Setting up your public facing home performance program website has never been easier. We’ve bundled in effective website portal tools to simplify the process. The Green Energy Compass portal module provides built in templates, content management, bill disaggregation, peer comparisons, energy modeling, and energy savings strategies. It also provides homeowners with a seamless link to all service providers qualified in the program. This website portal module keeps communications and job progressions running smoothly. You have full control over content to educate homeowners of the benefits of energy conservation and to encourage participation in your home performance program.
Lead Tracking and Marketing Campaign Management Back to top
With Compass, you always have your hand on the pulse of your building performance program. Information entered by homeowners and service providers on the public website is automatically logged in Compass. The details of each can be inspected, giving you insights into the job’s home energy efficiency savings potential. Managing leads in the CRM module makes it easy to implement automated email responses designed to foster homeowner participation. The CRM module offers robust means of tracking homeowner inquiries, providing immediate feedback and serving as the basis for marketing campaigns. Systematically educating prospects on the benefits and savings potential from energy improvements promotes participation and speeds the pace of program results.
Manage New and Existing Provider Network Back to top
Service provider applications can be reviewed and processed quickly. Once approved, they are automatically added to the list available to homeowners for bids and services through the Compass portal on your public website.
Integrated Quality Assurance Support Back to top
The QA providers you have selected to monitor your home performance program are linked into the program using Green Energy Compass. Each QA provider will automatically see all energy audits and jobs as they progress through the program and have the opportunity to perform a data audit or an on-site field inspection. When done, they simply mark the QA portion of the job completed, systematically signaling the change.
Simple and Effective Tools for Your Home Performance Program Website Back to top
Homeowners need only provide basic information about their home and utility usage through the integrated website portal. Compass then paints a revealing portrait of the energy used for heating, cooling and baseload. Comparisons to similar homes in the area show best-in-class home performance, encouraging the homeowner to take action. Energy saving home improvement strategies are provided to get them started. Links to energy auditors and contractors participating in the program make it very easy to seek bids and advice. And finally, the energy savings of proposed home improvements along with program incentives provide the compelling financial rationale to invest in energy efficiency improvements.
Homeowners Become Program Participants with the Compass Portal Top
Homeowners easily establish a program account by providing contact information, basic home metrics, fuels, and energy usage data. Usage data can be imported from their utility account or other popular data formats, or entered manually.
The benefits to homeowners of energy conservation are always in the forefront – encouraging program participation. Once their profile has been created, an estimate of the achievable savings is presented to the user. A peer comparison report provides context to their energy usage and encourages them to take action to benefit by savings and greater comfort. Users are further educated with energy savings strategies to consider such as lighting, attic and wall insulation, heat plant upgrades, duct sealing and window improvements. Energy savings predictions, peer comparisons, and energy savings strategies are critical catalysts to boosting participation and managing expectations.
Homeowners are prompted to take action by requesting an energy audit, requesting contractor bids, or applying for a loan. All auditors, contractors, and financers you have qualified to serve in your program are listed online and can be contacted by any homeowner registered in the home performance program. In market driven programs, homeowners often seek competitive bids. Once they’ve decided who to hire, they simply provide their system generated confirmation number to the contractor of their choice, enabling them to shepherd the job through the program.
Service Providers Integrate for Smooth Workflow and Job Completion Top
Auditors, raters, and contractors apply through the Compass portal on your website to participate in your program. Approval of applications will automatically list service providers on your website and enable them to receive leads from interested homeowners.
Once registered with the home performance program, service providers receive a Green Energy Compass account and are alerted to homeowner requests for bids and services. Information provided by the homeowner is viewable in this pre-assessment phase. Throughout the process, service providers enjoy a convenient dashboard showing key performance indicators. KPIs on the program dashboard include audits, jobs, and energy savings. Details of any job or lead can be inspected with a single click.
Energy auditors and contractors can use streamlined the energy modeling software component called Surveyor to complete audits, ratings, and predict savings. Surveyor is easy to use and requires only inputs essential to compiling accurate results. It’s the perfect tool to get your service providers up and running quickly. It even has an extensive onboard library of best audit practices to help ensure quality audits, giving you peace of mind. The projected results of proposed improvements are dynamically linked through Compass to their program dashboard as well as to the Program Manager’s view. Surveyor requires minimal start-up and input time, produces accurate results, and helps to ensures quality audits.
When the service provider is ready to present their recommendations to the homeowner, Surveyor generates a concise high quality proposal of the job specifications and projected savings. Program incentives can also be selected, applied for, and receive preliminary approval based on qualified specs - thus improving homeowner payback and maximizing program participation with each contractor’s on-site visit.
