Installation
Installation is a two-step process. First, install TREAT from the downloaded file, then register your TREAT software license.
Install
- IMPORTANT To avoid permanently deleting all projects created with TREAT version 2.5.50 or earlier, you must rename the Treat\Data folder before installing version 3.0. Change the name of the folder to "Old_Data" or another suitable name. You can check the version number of TREAT by starting TREAT and clicking Help > About on the main menu at the top of the screen.
- Close all programs before installing. If you have an earlier version of TREAT installed on your computer, it is not necessary to remove it before installing version 3.0. (Follow the instructions in the Treat Manual if you wish to remove version 2.5.50 or earlier without permanently deleting your project data.)
- Install TREAT version 3.0 by unzipping the downloaded file and clicking on install.exe Following the on-screen instructions to complete installation
You are now ready to use TREAT Software
To register your TREAT software, please review our updated Registration instructions. Printing of reports, reports for special programs, multi-family capability, and removal of the 30-day expiration date are accomplished by registering your version of TREAT.
To get started, Read Section 3 in the Treat Manual, “Working with Project Groups”, for instructions about creating a new TREAT data file (TPG file). Read Section 6.2.1 in the Treat Manual, “Creating a Project using the New Building Wizard”, for instructions about how to create a building model (TREAT project).
The manual is also installed when TREAT is installed, and can be accessed through the help menu within TREAT.
