TREAT 202: Advanced Multifamily TREAT Software Training - Ithaca, NY

$500.00
Location:
Ithaca, NY
Length:
2 days

This is a two-day advanced training event for multifamily TREAT software users with some pre-existing experience, or who have taken TREAT 101. Students must bring a laptop that has TREAT software already installed and registered. The following topics will be covered in this two-day event:

  • Understand and feel comfortable using the 8-step “Ideal Multi-family Existing Building Improvement Process Flow Diagram” linear process for improving energy efficiency in multifamily buildings using TREAT.
  • Appropriately integrate TREAT into the 8-step process to improve overall project efficiency and productivity.
  • Demonstrate TREAT energy modeling with a focus on incorporating an appropriate level of energy model detail given a specific scenario of energy/fuel meters and a set of building improvements for analysis
  • Demonstrate proper use of TREAT’s billing analysis tools to import a building’s actual energy bills and analyze baseline energy signatures and historical energy performance patterns.
  • Incorporate ‘non-energy’ benefits (i.e. health and safety measures) into the TREAT model.
  • Follow recommended procedure for ‘true-up’ of a TREAT models, eliminating looping references.
  • Understand the methodology used to develop building improvements not found in the standard TREAT
improvement library (i.e. renewables, chilled water plants, etc).
  • Create and analyze the investment potential of individual energy improvements to the TREAT model.
  • Create and analyze the investment potential of packages (groups of improvements) to the TREAT model.
  • Use TREAT model for estimating investment consequences of value engineering decisions.
  • Use TREAT for Project Energy Performance Evaluation – determining project’s actual energy savings vs. predicted energy savings.
